Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) & Altitude Advisory
Leh is located at 11,500 feet above sea level. Acclimatization is essential.
- •Day 1 is mandatory REST day. Do not run or exertion upon landing in Leh.
- •Keep hydrated: Drink 3-4 liters of water/electrolytes daily.
- •Consult your physician regarding Diamox (Acetazolamide) prior to travel.
- •All Truepath vehicles carry medical oxygen cylinders.
Inner Line Permit (ILP) Requirements
Inner Line Permits are required to visit Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, and Khardung La.
- •Truepath manages all official permit approvals on your behalf prior to arrival.
- •Carry 4-5 printed photocopies of your valid photo ID (Aadhaar / Passport) for army checkpoints.
Ladakh Mobile Connectivity & Cash
Prepaid SIM cards issued outside J&K/Ladakh DO NOT work.
- •Postpaid Jio and Airtel work best in Leh city. Connectivity in Nubra and Pangong is limited/patchy.
- •Carry sufficient cash as ATMs in Nubra/Pangong are unavailable.
