Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: April 2026  ·  TruePath Tour and Travel

1. Overview

At TruePath Tour and Travel, we understand that plans can change. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms under which cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are handled for all Kashmir tour packages. By making a booking with us, you agree to abide by these terms.

2. Booking Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only upon our explicit written confirmation (via email or WhatsApp) and receipt of the advance payment as communicated by our team. Mere submission of the booking inquiry form does not constitute a confirmed booking.

3. Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation charges apply based on the notice period before the trip start date:

Notice PeriodCancellation Charge
30 days or more before departure10% of total package cost
15 – 29 days before departure25% of total package cost
7 – 14 days before departure50% of total package cost
Less than 7 days before departure75% of total package cost
No-show or same-day cancellation100% — Non-refundable

4. Rescheduling Policy

We understand that circumstances can force a change of plans. You may request to reschedule your trip under the following conditions:

  • Rescheduling requests must be made at least 15 days before the original departure date.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur a rescheduling fee of up to 10% of the package cost.
  • A maximum of one rescheduling is permitted per booking at this rate. Subsequent changes will attract standard cancellation charges.
  • Any difference in cost due to seasonal pricing or availability will be borne by the customer.

5. Refund Process

Once a cancellation is confirmed by our team:

  • Eligible refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method.
  • Refunds are processed after deducting applicable cancellation charges and any non-refundable third-party costs (e.g., advance hotel bookings, permits).
  • Bank transfer charges or transaction fees, if any, will be deducted from the refund amount.

6. Force Majeure & Special Circumstances

In the event of extraordinary circumstances beyond our control — including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, government-imposed travel restrictions, civil unrest, or public health emergencies — TruePath Tour and Travel reserves the right to:

  • Postpone the trip and offer a reschedule at no additional charge.
  • Offer a credit voucher equivalent to 100% of the booking value, valid for 12 months.
  • Process a partial refund after deducting non-recoverable costs already incurred.

Full cash refunds are not guaranteed in force majeure situations, though we will always act in good faith to find the best resolution for our customers.

7. Activities Booked Separately

Entry fees, Gondola / Cable Car rides, horse riding, houseboat stays, Shikara rides, and any other activities not included in the package are organised through independent local operators. Cancellation and refund terms for such activities are governed by the respective operator's policies and are not covered by this policy. TruePath Tour and Travel bears no liability for these separately booked activities.
